"Queer Space" (3/1/07: ELN Special Issue)

A respected forum since 1962 for new work in English literary
studies, ELN (English
  Language Notes) has undergone a change in editorship and an extensive makeover
  as a biannual journal devoted exclusively to special topics in all
fields of literary
  and cultural studies. The new ELN is particularly determined to revive and
  reenergize its traditional commitment to featuring shorter notes,
often no more than
  3-4 pages in print, an attribute of the journal that will provide a
unique forum for
  cutting-edge scholarly debate and exchange in the humanities.

Call for Papers: Frost's Ascent to Poet Laureate (MLA Chicago, Dec. 27-30,
2007; proposals by March 9, 2007) The Robert Frost Society invites
proposals that address Frost's reputation, politics, and cultural
positionings as well as relations with other writers before he became poet

Tolkien Down Under - The Art and Science of Magic in Middle-earth

Call for Papers

This significant annual event in the Tolkien calendar is being held overseas
for the first time in Sydney, Australia. With attendees travelling from
around the world this will have an international festive feel.

The magic of Middle-earth is wide-ranging in scope and can cover not only
all aspects of magic in the works of Tolkien but also the enchantment that
Tolkien's writings have instilled in Tolkien fans far and wide.
