Encouraged by the success and the positive feedback that we have received about our edited volume The Politics and Reception of Rabindranath Tagore's Drama: The Bard on the Stage [edited by Arnab Bhattacharya & Mala Renganathan (New York & London: Routledge, 2015), the link of which is given here as - http://www.routledge.com/books/details/9781138804623/], we are announcing the CALL FOR PAPERS for another edited volume on Tagore's Drama, to be published by a reputed publisher. Please find the attachment of the Concept Note.
For the Fall 2016 issue of Theatralia, we are looking for submissions in the fields of theatre theory, meta-theory of theatre studies, and methodology of theatre research.
There will also be a special section on cognitive theatre studies, which has become a dynamically developing trend in theatre research, and we are proud to offer an opportunity to publish in this young field.

Panel: "Beautiful Vessels and Shrouded Ghosts: Harbors and Enslavement"
How does a particular city shape, hinder, or enable the life (career, agenda, domestication, nationalism) of a character? As urban populations grew in the Early Republic, cities both shaped and were indebted to public figures who came either to rise to prominence on account of a quality that flourishes in such an environment or a manipulation of the characteristics of the city to accomplish one's ends. Consistent with the symposium's theme of "The City and American Literature," successful proposals will explore the relationship between individual men and women and their urban environments in regard to habits, qualities, identity, or behavior.
