Hotel: Critical Review / Revue Critique

Hotel: Critical Review / Revue Critique, an undergraduate journal of
literary
and cultural studies based at McGill University, is calling for papers for
its
Spring 2005 issue. We are looking for critical writing from undergraduates
on
any subject having to do with literature, culture, and the arts for a
non-specialist readership. We are especially interested in essays that take
interdisciplinary or unusual approaches to cultural issues while using
lively

LEON EDEL PRIZE

The Leon Edel Prize is awarded annually for the best essay on Henry
James by a beginning
scholar. The prize carries with it an award of $150, and the
prize-winning essay will be
published in HJR.

The competition is open to applicants who have not held a full-time
academic appointment
for more than four years. Independent scholars and graduate students
are encouraged to
apply.

Essays should be 20-30 pages (including notes), original, and not under
submission
elsewhere or previously published.

Send submissions (in duplicate, produced according to current MLA
style, and with return
postage enclosed) to:

antiTHESIS is a fully-refereed journal of contemporary theory, criticism and culture, and Australia's longest-running interdisciplinary postgraduate journal. It is produced by postgraduates in the Department of English with Cultural Studies and Creative Writing at the University of Melbourne.

IN recognition of the 10th Issue, Postgraduate English will be offering a small
prize for the paper deemed 'most deserving' by a committee of the Editorial
Board. This applies to the general papers of 7000 words (see below), and not
to the 500 word pieces for the forum.
