Friends of Mr Biswas in collaboration with the Department of Literary, Cultural and Communication Studies, The University of the West Indies, St Augustine is pleased to issue this call for papers for an interactive conference on the work of the three Naipauls - Seepersad and his sons, Vidia and Shiva. The conference on the theme: Seepersad and Sons: Naipaulian Creative Synergies will convene from September 6th. to 8th. 2015 on the St. Augustine Campus of the University of the West Indies, with field trips and public lectures at the Lion House in Chaguanas and at the Naipaul House in St James, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies.

ollowing the success of the 1st IEEE International Workshop on Metrology for Aerospace, it was considered convenient to promote a second edition of this event, which aims at reinforcing and supporting the collaborations among people working in developing instrumentation and measurement methods for aerospace.
This new edition will complete the state of the art and practice started last year. Attention is paid, but not limited to, new technology for metrology-assisted production in aerospace industry, aircraft component measurement, sensors and associated signal conditioning for aerospace, and calibration methods for electronic test and measurement for aerospace.
Slated for publication in late fall of 2015, this volume of BMCS will contain scholarly essays, poems, artworks, and other forms of media that explore Hilda Morley's relationship to Black Mountain College. As much of Morley's work was published late in life or posthumously, contributors need not limit themselves to the years she was at BMC and should feel free to draw upon her entire life and oeuvre.

The Indian Ocean is a cultural and economic system that dates back over five thousand years as Malays, Chinese, Arabs, Indians and Africans traded across it for centuries before the Europeans set foot in the area. Since the 1980s Indian Ocean studies have gained impetus, particularly among social scientists, and current debates on transnationalism are based on recent research carried out by scholars who have gradually understood the Indian Ocean as a network rather than as discrete geographical regions.

In conjunction with the 30th Annual Literature at the University of Texas at El Paso, featuring Dr. Neil Campbell of the University of Derby, the Graduate Student English Association (GradSEA) invites proposals for panels or individual papers for a graduate conference entitled "The Global American West" that will take place at UTEP on March 26-28, 2015. Author of The Rhizomatic West and PostWesterns, among other major works, Campbell is a leading theorist of critical regionalism whose work reads the American West not as a stratified or constrained space, but as a ruptured and fluid discursive system.
