Call for Submissions:

The Cormac McCarthy Journal Online is a peer reviewed on-line journal,
modified or updated as events warrant. The Journal Online welcomes
article-length manuscripts (not to exceed 25 typewritten double-spaced
pages) or notes (not to exceed 500 words in length) on themes and issues
pertinent to the writings and literary environment of Cormac McCarthy.
Submissions must adhere to accepted rules of scholarship and be in current
MLA format. Please submit the article on one 3-1/2" high density floppy
disk (WordPerfect or .txt file preferred) plus three hard copies. Include
both an SASE and a stamped, addressed return postcard to confirm receipt of
your submission.

We are in the process of mailing the Spring/Summer 1999 issue of the
International Review of Modernism to subscribers and contributors and we are
assigning reviews for the next two issues (3.1 [Nov., 1999] and 3.2 [April,
2000]). We would like to hear from qualified reviewers in all disciplines. If
you have already sent us vitas or summaries of your interests, you do not need
to do so again, but please keep us informed of changes in e-mail and other

_Jouvert: a journal of postcolonial studies_seeks submissions for
forthcoming issues. Jouvert, a refereed, multi-disciplinary journal
published tri-annually on the World Wide Web, offers an international
forum for the interrogation of textual, cultural and political
postcolonialisms. We encourage a wide variety of critical perspectives,
disciplinary approaches and scholarly methods that question the
assumptions, possibilities and limits of the postcolonial.
Postcolonialism is a conflicted ground--historically, culturally,
politically and theoretically. As such, we are especially interested in
innovative scholarship examining these conflicts, be it through the study

The _International Review of Modernism_ is a new review-journal that will
publish short articles, reviews, and extended review-essays on new
scholarly and critical books on European modernist literature and culture
situated in historical and national contexts. The coverage will be broad
both temporally (from decadence and fin-de-siecle to the start of the
second World War) and spatially (from Great Britain to Russia). We are
interested in all of the many contending movements in literature and the
other arts (post-impressionism, decadence, favism, cubism, imagism,
vorticism, futurism, dadaism, surrealism, expressionism, etc.).

English Literary Studies seeks quality submissions for its annual
monograph series. ELS publishes peer-reviewed monographs (usual length
45,000-60,000 words) on the literatures written in English. The Series is
