For several years now, Creative Writing Pedagogy has been a growing and integral aspect of the interdisciplinary offerings of the Southwest/Texas Popular & American Culture Associations.

Panels and workshops now forming for presentations on the Pedagogy of Creative Writing (creative nonfiction, fiction, poetry, drama). Teaching experimental writing and innovative approaches to teaching problems are particularly welcome. Student-related issues in the classroom also of interest.

Please send an abstract of your presentation or workshop proposal to the address below. Graduate students/future teachers are particularly welcome to participate or register to attend the conference.

Creative writers interested in the selective creative writing readings panels should contact Jerry Bradley, Creative Writing Readings Chair, bradleyjw @hal.lamar.edu, in the early fall [spam deterrent: please remove space before @ symbol to reply]. Those interested in Experimental Writing and Aesthetics unrelated to pedagogy should contact Hugh Tribbey, Chair for Experimental Writing and Aesthetics, htribbey @mailclerk.ecok.edu [spam deterrent: please remove space before @ symbol to reply].

If your work does not focus on Creative Writing Pedagogy but fits within the broad range of areas designated for the upcoming conference on American & Popular culture, I still encourage you to participate. Please pass along this call to friends and colleagues.
