CFP: Post-Apocalyptic Films (4/21/06; MPCA/ACA, 10/27/06-10/29/06)
2006 Midwestern PCA/ACA Conference
October 27-29, Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites
Indianapolis, Indiana
Proposed Panel: "Post-Apocalyptic Films: Conceiving Identity and
Purpose in a Post-Social World"
Post-apocalyptic films offer a wealth of possible interpretations and
points of inquiry; in order to focus the discourse in this proposed
panel, the concentration will be on the construction of identity and
purpose (in a personal, existential sense) in post-apocalyptic films.
That being said, the submission of any and all papers relating to
aspects of post-apocalyptic films is strongly encouraged, as
intriguing paper topics might shift the panel's concentration into a
different direction.
Please email submissions (consisting of a 250-word abstract, title of
paper, and full contact information) by April 21th to Nick Muntean,
University of Texas-Austin, nmuntean_at_gmail.com
