Call for Papers
Baylor Journal of Theatre and Performance
Volume 5.1, Spring 2008

The Baylor Journal of Theatre and Performance seeks submissions for a
general interest issue. While any topic related to theatre and
theatricality is appropriate, the journal takes particular interest in
research on the intersections of performance and religion/spirituality.
We interpret this broadly, and welcome submissions addressing a wide
variety of topics. Previous contributions have included: Chinese
shamanistic practices, medieval mystery and morality plays, Broadway
musicals, improv. comedy and political commentary, playwriting on the
topic of WW II concentration camps, and civic celebrations in seventeenth-
century Silesia.

In addition to scholarly articles, the journal seeks book and performance
reviews, and interviews with performers, playwrights, directorsâ€"anyone
involved in theatrical practice. We have occasionally published short
original play scripts and adaptations related to the overall interests of
the journal.

Completed drafts can be submitted in electronic format only to the editor
Carolyn Roark at bjtp_at_baylor.edu. Inquiries regarding submission and
subscription may be directed to the editor, and additional information,
including submission guidelines and a style sheet, may be found at
www.baylor.edu/bjtp. Here you may also view the table of contents and
full text of back issues, access current calls for papers, and view
conference and journal listings for our partner organizations.

Baylor Journal of Theatre and Performance is indexed by Ebsco and the MLA
International Bibliography.
