Submission Guidelines
Dash is an annual journal dedicated to publishing the best poetry,
fiction, and criticism that is short, open-ended, and emphatic. In a
world that is focused on the quick and condensed, quality is often
neglected. Our goal at Dash is to seek and nurture authors who can create
a meaningful discourse in a small space. It is our mission to publish
new poetry, fiction and criticism from both established and emerging
writers in the English language.
• Fiction and Micro-Lit-Crit submissions should not exceed 1,500
words, double-spaced. Micro-Lit-Crit is a thought-provoking work of
Literary Criticism done in 1,500 words or fewer.
• Poetry submissions should not exceed 16 lines. Submit 1-4 poems
for consideration.
• Art submissions are considered for cover art and can be emailed
to dashjournal_at_gmail.com. Digital images of your artwork should have a
minimum 300 dpi resolution. Art may be printed in black & white if used
inside journal.
• No previously published work will be considered for publication
• Work must be typed and single or double-spaced.
• Simultaneous submissions are considered, but please notify us if
your work is accepted elsewhere.
• The deadline for our first issue is Sunday, 3/30/08.
