Inspired by the host university's setting on the banks of the Susquehanna River, between the Alleghenies and Appalachians, the 2010 EAPSU conference theme "A River Runs through Us" invites exploration of the possibilities and permutations of place and its representations wherever we live.

Keynote Speaker:
James Prosek, fisherman, wildlife painter, essayist, and environmental activist, is the author of The Complete Angler: A Connecticut Yankee Follows in the Footsteps of Walton, Fly Fishing along the 41st Parallel: From Connecticut to Mongolia and Home Again, and Trout: An Illustrated History among a number of additional nonfiction works. The New York Times proclaimed him to be the "Audobon of the fishing world," and he collaborated on the Emmy and George Foster Peabody Award-winning film adaptation of The Complete Angler, which aired on ESPN.
