The Brontës and Poetics (special journal issue)
The Brontës and Poetics
Compared to the large body of scholarly criticism on the Brontë sisters' imaginative prose, their poetry has been comparatively little studied. It is therefore timely to invite colleagues interested in the Brontës to contribute to a special issue of Brontë Studies (published by Maney and available both in print and electronically via http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/maney/bst) that will be devoted to the exploration of the poetics constructed in and informing the sisters' poems. Articles of 6000 to 7000 words, including endnotes and using the MHRA style, should be submitted for consideration to Professor Sandro Jung, Department of Literary Studies (English Studies), Ghent University, Blandijnberg 2, B – 9000 Ghent, Belgium. Email submissions are preferred and should be sent to the special issue editor at: Sandro.Jung@UGent.be
The deadline for submission of completed papers is 1 July 2011. The special issue will be published as Volume 37, issue 1 (2012).
