The North American Network in Aging Studies (NANAS) was established in 2013 to bring together scholars and researchers from across a variety of disciplines—humanities, arts, gerontology, anthropology, sociology, health care, and others—interested in critical examinations of how age is conceptualized, defined, experienced, performed, and critiqued. At this inaugural research conference, we seek to build on the foundations of and define new formations in this vital and growing field.

from biographies, autobiographies to Facebook and Twitter and Selfies, the process of self writing and self righting is everywhere.
The seminar is a good avenue to discuss these and many more issues.

As we continue to develop various digital technologies and media we need to continue to theorize what it means to do and think the humanities in light of these developments. How is the humanities assemblage changed in the face of digital media and in what ways has our engagement with the classical fields of study augmented? What changes in Philosophy, Art, Poetry, Literary Theory and so on when it interfaces with the digital? Especially, how are the humanities approached in a world of so-called digital natives? Do the humanities have a necessarily digital future?

As an interdisciplinary journal bridging the fields of communications and media studies, we particularly encourage historical and feminist scholarship and invite submissions from those employing critical theoretical and empirical approaches to those seeking to create new knowledge across conventional disciplinary boundaries:

The College English Association, a gathering of scholar-teachers in English studies, welcomes proposals for presentations for our 46th annual conference.
We are interested in papers on the intersection of law and literature and this evolving area's role in self-reflection and other introspective pursuits, including its use of in the classroom to aid students' understanding of themselves, the world around them, and the human experience itself.

This seminar seeks papers that engage with Philip K. Dick's work. More specifically I would like the seminar to engage with any aspect of Dick's work, cinematic adaptations of his work, or work that was inspired by his vision—social, economic, religious, political—which has become so relevant in the twenty-first century and possibly beyond. Let us reflect on the immanence and historicity of the work and its adaptations while exploring it alongside contemporary issues and developments.
