[UPDATE] Carlos Ruiz Zafón Proposed Collection (DEADLINE EXTENDED)

Abstracts are requested for a proposed collection on the works of Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Intended to be the first academic collection about the author, abstracts regarding all topics of interest are welcome.

Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

- the modern Gothic tale
- use of the Faustian pact in his novels
- the Cemetery of Forgotten Books as metaphor
- his use of classical theology
- "Marina" as a modern "Frankenstein"

Please understand that all abstracts (and later articles) will need to be written in English.

A short bio and abstracts of 300-500 words are due by January 1st, 2015.

Tanya Jones has written for multiple academic collections in the areas of Gothicism, pop culture, and literature. She recently co-edited a collection called "The Gothic Fairy Tale in Young Adult Literature: Essays on Stories from Grimm to Gaiman."
