We wish to announce an extension to our previous cfp-submission deadline.
cfps for this conference may now be submitted until 22 February 2015.
The conference information is as follows:
The Fourth International Conference on Literary Juvenilia will be held in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, from 17-20 June, 2015.
In association with the Juvenilia Press (University of New South Wales, Australia), the conference will bring together researchers, teachers and students to discuss aspects of literary juvenilia and to share insights and ideas into the study of young writers and their works.
The principal theme of the 2015 conference will be "The Child Writer and Poetry", for which we particularly welcome proposals. We hope to provide dedicated presentation and discussion of this ambit throughout the conference, not least in the keynote lectures; however, although we encourage submissions related to this theme, we are also open to considering other suggestions. In this respect, possible alternative topics might include (but are not limited to) the following:
Family culture and creativity
Collaboration authorship
School magazines and their writers
Cultural identity and creativity
Gender differences in extant juvenilia
Narrative or poetic experimentation
Youthful dramatists
Place and creativity
The colonial child writer
Material culture and literary creativity
Editing or electronic studies of literary juvenilia
Teaching and learning
We invite proposals of 300 words for 20-minute papers and/or full panels of three speakers and a chair. Submissions should include a 150-word bio.
Please send your proposal to juvenilia.conference@gmail.com by 15 December 2014, with the subject header "CfP Proposal_YOUR NAME". We undertake to provide you with a response by mid February 2015.
