Where is Adaptation? Article contributions needed.
Call for contributors: Where is Adaptation? A few (3-4) more articles needed, particularly those focusing in some way on marginalized countries, artists, cultures, works, or material.
This collection for F.I.L.L.M (see www.fillm.org) explores in accessible language issues around locating adaptation, broadly defined (translation, transmediation, etc). The collection features practitioners of adaptation as well as critics and theorists addressing the question "where is adaptation": how does an adapted work "show" that it is adapted? How does a reader or viewer experience such an adaptation? Behind these broad questions lurks a debate about where adaptation is situated: is it in the process of its creation, in the reception, or in between: somewhere in the work itself?
