In her poem, "The Lost Land," Eavan Boland declares that

 . . . memory itself
has become an emigrant
wandering in a place
where love dissembles itself as landscape.

From Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels to Colm Toibin's Brooklyn, Irish literature has always been especially concerned with travel, migration, and the fluidity of national boundaries. This panel seeks papers that examine migration, immigration, diaspora, and displacement in Irish texts.
