Companion to Victorian Popular Fiction
Owing to last minute withdrawals by committed authors, the Companion to Victorian Popular Fiction, which will be published by McFarland, is in need of additional contributors. The 150,000 word companion will cover authors, topics, representative texts, and genres. Over 100 scholars, from senior academics to advanced graduate students, have already written short but incisive and insightful cross-referenced entries. A few remain:
Mudie’s Circulating Library [250 words]
Arnold Bennett [250 words]
Catnach broadsides [250 words]
A. L. O. E [100]
Career of Candida [250]
A Modern Amazon [250]
Mary-Angela Dickens [250]
Disability [1250 -- as it appears in popular fiction]
