The Contingent Labor in the Profession Committee is now accepting submissions for the Contingent Blog. At a minimum, we are seeking two bloggers per week for approximately 10 weeks, beginning the week of September 25. Proposals will be accepted from any area relating to contingency, history and campus culture. Potential topics could include, but are not limited to:
- The rhetoric of contingency (What does it mean to be adjunct, contingent, NTT?)
- Contingent Activism (Are you unionized? Why or why not? What recent on the job gains have you made as a contingent?)
- Ending prejudices against contingent workers (In a world where everyone is precarious, how can we handle this?)
- Recent controversies and new directions for research (Where do we see new openings and opportunities for contingent scholarship?)
