New criteria of selection for the proposals – sections Essays and Theory and practice of Translation
«Ticontre» deals with literary critics and textual analysis, history of literature, theory of literature, comparative literature, translation studies. Each article is submitted to a double-blind scholarly peer reviw. Since its foundation in 2014, «Ticontre» published seven issues with no delay, adding up to 102 articles. The PDF versions of the articles have been downloaded over 65.000 times in a little more than three years. Thirty per cent of them are written in a language other than Italian. Authors belong to more than 50 universities, half of which are abroad. The Editorial Staff is large and varied and its members belong to numerous institutions; three (out of seven) members of the Committee Board are young researchers; the Scientific Committee has an international composition. «Ticontre» appears in the ANVUR (Agenzia Nazionale di Valutazione del Sistema Universitario e della Ricerca) official list of scientific journals and in the ERIH PLUS index.
The journal consists of a monographic section, which changes at every issue and of three fixed sections: Essays – containing academic articles on different topics–; Theory and practice of Translation –is the section devoted to translation studies, publishing original translations of literary texts (both poetry and prose) provided with a critical commentary; – and Reprints, which gives spaces to works that are either very important for the scientific community, or for the history of a literary field and have never been translated into Italian or are no longer available in their first printed editions.
Ticontre’s Editorial Staff recently established new criteria of selection for the proposals addressed to the sections Essays and Theory and practice of Translation, starting from 2018. Authors interested in submitting a proposal for «Ticontre», IX (May 2018) may send an abstract of maximum 250 words at firstname.lastname@example.org by October 1st. The Editorial Staff will give a feedback about the selection by October 11th. Completed articles will be expected not later than January 10th.
