THE CITY: IMAGES AND IMAGINARIES
INTERNATIONAL AND INTERDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE, SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES, COMMUNICATION AND LIBRARY SCIENCE, UNIVERSITY CARLOS III DE MADRID
Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to announce that from March 12th to 15th, 2018, the School of Humanities, Communication and Library Science, University Carlos III de Madrid, will host the International Interdisciplinary Conference: THE CITY: IMAGES AND IMAGINARIES.
This Conference aims to offer a diverse view of representations of cities, including the artistic dimensions, as well as the technical, historical, or urban perspectives. The following central concepts and their corresponding sub-themes, will be addressed:
- 1. Urban space
- 2. Civic experience in modern times
- 3. Contemporary cities and their representations
Please find enclosed, and in the webpage congresociudad.uc3m.es the CFP and further information about the Conference. The abstracts should be submitted through a platform set up on the mentioned webpage until December 15th 2017. A committee of evaluators will select some of the papers that will be published in digital format with ISBN number, hosted at the digital open access repository of the UC3M Library. The deadline for the inscriptions, as well as submission of the full papers, will be published once the peer review process for acceptance of the abstracts has been completed.
