(RE)THINKING DISCIPLINARITY: POSITION, DIRECTION, APPLICATION

This conference seeks to interrogate different notions, methods, theories, and practices of (inter)disciplinarity. What is to be gained from thinking outside the lines of discipline? How does interdisciplinarity allow us to cover grey areas in scholarship that a single discipline by itself cannot access? How do we define our own positions within the academy? How do we complicate the borders of our disciplines to account for the increasingly interwoven nature of our work? Paper, panel, and roundtable proposals are welcome- and encouraged- from all disciplines.

Topics to address include, but are not limited to:

#activism #affect #anarchism #anthropocene #arts #body #coalition #criticaltheory #decolonization #diaspora #digital humanities #(dis)ability #dystopia #environment #existence #femininities #film #food #forms #futurism(s) #gender #global south #human rights #indigeneity #intersectionality #language #liminality #materialism #masculinities #monstrosity #(Mother)Earth #methodologies #neoliberalism #pedagogy #performativity #pop culture #postcolonial #postmodern #post/transhumanism #(post)socialism #psychoanalysis #queer #race #radical love #realism(s) #religion #representation #resistance #sex #sexuality #sound #space/place #speculative #third world #time #transgression #transatlantic #transnationalism #transpacific #translation #trauma #travel writing #urban planning #violence #visuality #war #women of color #world literature
