Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association (PAMLA) Conference
Friday, November 9, 2018 to Sunday, November 11, 2018, Western Washington University, Bellingham, Washington
Conference theme: “Acting, Roles, and Stages”
The 2018 PAMLA Conference is being held over the November 9-11 weekend, at lovely Western Washington University in idyllic Bellingham, Washington. Do consider joining us, as Bellingham is a lovely and inviting town in northwestern Washington, and the conference itself is sure to be a wonderful, friendly experience. For more information, check our conference page here: http://pamla.org/2018
You may fly directly to Bellingham, Washington, or fly into Sea-Tac (Seattle-Tacoma International Airport) and then rent a car or take a shuttle to get to Bellingham (a drive of a bit more than 90 minutes). Or, you can fly into Vancouver, British Columbia (with your passport, of course), and then drive or shuttle south across the international border to Bellingham (a bit less than a 90 minute drive).
The normal submission period is now over. However, many sessions will reopen tomorrow, June 1, 2018 for the extended deadline period which will run from June 1, 2018 through June 27, 2018. Many sessions will be joining the extended deadline list. Check the CFP list for more information: http://pamla.org/2018/topic-areas
Note: You may submit to more than one session (if you do so, please let the presiding officers know you are doing so), but may only deliver one paper at the conference itself (so if you agree to join one session, please let all other presiding officers you proposed to know that you have already agreed to join a different session).
Please do not submit proposals to more than two or three sessions, and do not submit the same proposal to multiple sessions.
We look forward to seeing your submission for the extended submission deadline! Contact PAMLA Executive Director, Craig Svonkin, with any problems, questions, or concerns: firstname.lastname@example.org or 626-354-7526.
