Contemporary North-American Literature: Visions and Revisions – Journal Aletria: Revista de Estudos de LIteratura, v. 29, n. 2 (2019) [Brazil – FREE OF CHARGE]
This issue of Aletria: Revista de Estudos de Literatura welcomes papers that offer critical contributions on the contemporary scenario of English-language literatures in North America. Our purpose is to bring together articles that discuss contemporary literary productions against the background of profound political, historical and cultural changes in both the United States and Canada. We welcome articles that address, for example, the reconfiguration of literary genres; the representation of issues such as race, ethnicity and gender; the representation of space, mobility and migration; alternative spiritualities; the canon – readings, mis-readings, revisions; post-humanism, trans-humanism, cyberculture and their narratives, among others that also map recent perspectives and trends.
Besides works related to this issue’s dossier (v. 29, n. 2 of 2019), the journal also receives free theme articles to its section “Varia”, as well as reviews of recently published oeuvres.
Editors of the issue: José de Paiva dos Santos (UFMG), Gláucia Renate Gonçalves (UFMG), Fernanda Guida (University of Pennsylvania).
Submission deadline: December 31st, 2018.
