Call for archival and bibliographical articles on American Literature
Resources for American Literary Study, a peer-reviewed journal of archival and bibliographical scholarship, is inviting submissions for two upcoming volumes in 2019. Covering all periods of American literature, Resources for American Literary Study welcomes both traditional and digital humanities approaches to archival discovery and bibliography. The journal also welcomes pedagogically focused submissions examining archival study in the classroom.
Founded in 1971, RALS remains the only major scholarly periodical of its kind. Each issue includes, in addition to archival and bibliographical research, related book reviews and a unique “Prospects” essay in which a leading scholar identifies new directions in the study of major authors. Beginning in 2019, the journal will move from an annual to a bi-annual publication, with volumes available in print and digitally.
Instructions for submissions may be found at: http://www.psupress.org/Journals/jnls_rals.html. The deadline above (11/5) is for consideration in the first of two volumes to appear in 2019. Submissions received after that date will be considered for the second volume of 2019.
