Society for Contemporary Literature Call for Panel Proposals: ALA 2019, Boston
Call for Panels
The Society for Contemporary Literature is sponsoring two panels at the annual meeting of the American Literature Association in Boston, May 23-26, 2019. We are looking for panel proposals that address themselves to topics in contemporary American literature (or about the last twenty-five years), and especially welcome submissions that address its full range and diversity. ALA welcomes both traditional and non-standard panel formats as well as roundtables, and so does SCL.
Panel proposals should be about 250 words, and submitted no later than November 22, 2018. Proposals do not have to include anything but information on the proposed topic; if you have a sense of possible speakers and format, that may be added nevertheless. The decision about which panels to sponsor will be made by the Board of SCL. If accepted, the panel proposal should be circulated appropriately by the proposer and a fully constituted panel (see ALA guidelines, https://americanliteratureassociation.org/ala-conferences/ala-annual-conference/) submitted to the president of the society, Tim Lanzendörfer (firstname.lastname@example.org), no later than January 27, 2019, for transmission to ALA.
Thanks, for SCL,
