The Environment(al) in Theatre and Performance: UW Madison's Theatre and Drama Graduate Student Organization's 2019 Conference
UW Madison's 18th Annual TDGSO 2019 CONFERENCE: April 20th, 2019
CALL FOR PAPERS
Environment and environmental issues have held a prominent place within dramatic text and performance across theatre history. In contemporary performance, environment(al) issues have driven production experimentation, dramaturgy, and design, while the ideology and content of performances continue to look at the world around us. On 20 April 2019, the 2019 TDGSO Conference will explore ideas of the “environment(al)” in or surrounding the theatre, drama, and/or performance. Papers, workshops, and performance projects are welcome to apply.
Keynote Speaker: Award Winning Playwright Rebecca Gillman
If you are interested, please submit a 250 word proposal for papers and/or performance projects, including your name, email, and academic affiliation, along with any AV or room requirements to Claire Mason, firstname.lastname@example.org by 25 February 2019.
Proposals will be reviewed by the Conference Organizers and notifications will be sent out by 1 March 2019.
