The World Literary Review has launched a series of publications entitled A Century Later.

Authors and artists invited to submit works on Ezra Pound: A Century Later to the World Literary Review for publication in January 2020. This collection of articles will examine various perspectives regarding the quixotic Pound as weighed from the 21st century perspective. Critical questions include: What is Pound’s relevance today in literature, art, politics, social context, and literary criticism? On the other hand: Was he “out of key with his time”? Did he “resuscitate the dead art/Of poetry”? Or was he “Wrong from the start”?

Topics include, but not limited to, the following:

Teaching Pound,

Pound’s poetry and other artistic accomplishments,

Modernism/Neomodernism,

Imagism and Vorticism,

Hugh Selwyn Mauberely, The Cantos, others,

Representation in today’s anthologies,

Literary criticism and philosophy,

Social attitudes, anti-Semitism,

War views and political entanglement,

Internment and hospitalization, and

Influence of and on fellow and later writers and artists.

The World Literary Review is a peer-reviewed e-journal. The editors seek to publish the highest in quality research papers that contribute genuine knowledge and research to the fields of literature, art and cultural studies. All submitted articles must be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. WLR reviews papers within one month of submission. Abstracts should be limited to 300 words. Follow MLA style. Include your biographical sketch or CV.

Eliot, James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, HD, Gertrude Stein, Harlem Renaissance, Joseph Conrad, George Bernard Shaw, Franz Kafka, D. H. Lawrence, Marcel Proust, Eugene O’Neill, and others.
