John Milton: Identity, Relationships, Power
This session invites submissions for twenty-minute, scholarly presentations on any aspect of John Milton. Especially welcome are proposals addressing the conference theme, “Languages: Power, Identity, Relationships.” From Adam and Eve in Paradise Lost to Satan and Jesus in Paradise Regain’d to the Lady and Comus in A Masque, Milton encouraged readers to think power, identity, and relationships in many forms and in many contexts. What might these intersections of power, identity, and relationship reveal to us about Milton as a poet and political activist? By Friday, May 25, please submit an abstract of 200 words, a brief bio, and any A/V requests to Dr. Christopher Koester at firstname.lastname@example.org and Geoffrey Emerson at email@example.com.
