*Fresh Words* is now accepting submissions for its **Special One-Minute Horror Plays Anthology**, titled ***SHHH! BREATHE SLOW!* (Volume 4)**. We invite playwrights worldwide to submit original, spine-chilling short works that deliver maximum impact in just 60 seconds.

Selected contributors will be notified via email by **October 5, 2025**.

### Submission Guidelines:

1. **Format**: Each submission must be a one-minute horror play or monologue, designed for performance.  

2. **Content Policy**: We do not accept works that promote or glorify violence, sexual abuse, racism, hatred, or any political ideology. Submissions must be respectful and artistically focused.  

3. **Submission Limit**: A maximum of **three (3) entries per playwright**. All pieces must be submitted in a **single email** as **PDF or MS Word attachments**.  

4. **Length**: Each play/monologue must be **one page only** (standard formatting).  

   - **Rights Note**: If selected, the playwright retains full intellectual property and performance rights. *Fresh Words* will request **one-time publication rights** for inclusion in the anthology. Copyright reverts entirely to the author upon publication.  

5. **Email Address**: All submissions must be sent to **dramaanthologyfreshwords@gmail.com**  

6. **Subject Line**: Please use the following format:  

   **[Your Full Name] – SUBMISSION FOR *SHHH! BREATHE SLOW!* ANTHOLOGY (Volume 4)**  

### General Requirements:

- Include a **cover letter** and a **short literary biography** (approximately 60 words) written in the third person.  

- Provide the following information:  

  - **Legal Name**  

  - **Pen Name** (if applicable)  

  - **Postal (snail mail) Address**  

- Attach a **high-resolution photograph** (JPEG format) of the playwright as a **separate file**.  

- **Simultaneous submissions are permitted**; however, please notify us promptly if your work is accepted elsewhere.

### Important Notes:

- **There is no submission or participation fee.**  

- This is an open, inclusive call for global voices in contemporary horror theatre.
