Equity and Ethics in Digital Spaces and AI (WOCC roundtable)

The MELUS Women of Color Caucus (WOCC) seeks contributors to a roundtable discussion about digital spaces and AI, and whether they are delivering on their promises  of open accessibility, equity, and/or a collapsing of barriers to publishing. Specifically, this roundtable will engage in a discussion of the benefits and/or challenges of how digital spaces affect the study and/or publication of the literary works of marginalized peoples. Some additional topics to which roundtable discussants can contribute include:

  • Accessibility and assistive technologies

  • Pedagogical concerns

  • Racism, sexism, and/or bias mitigation

  • Democratization and design

  • Environmental impacts on marginalized groups

  • Equity and representation

  • Online and digital publishing

  • Policy and regulation

Abstracts of no more than 250 words in Word or PDF, along with your name, e-mail address, and institutional affiliation (if applicable) are due by February 19, 2026, to MilneL@uindy.edu.
