Call for Book Chapters
Theme: Marginalized Identities: Dimensions, Perspectives and Problems
The Research and Development Cell of Loreto College is pleased to announce a call for chapter contributions for an upcoming book publication. The theme of the proposed volume is:
‘Marginalized Identities: Dimensions, Perspectives and Problems’
This publication aims to present interdisciplinary insights into the lived realities, challenges, and representations of marginalized identities across various contexts.
All faculty members and research scholars are encouraged to contribute chapters and take advantage of this opportunity to engage in meaningful academic discourse and publication.
Details are as follows:
- Word Limit: 3,000 to 5,000 words per chapter
- Last Date for Submission: 10 March 2026, by 12:00 noon

Author Guidelines for Chapter Submission
Please follow the guidelines below when preparing your full chapter. Adhering to these standards will help ensure consistency and smooth progress toward publication.
1. Chapter Length
- Chapters should be between 3,000 and 5,000 words, excluding references, tables, and appendices, abstract and keywords.
2. Formatting
- Submit the chapter in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5-line spacing.
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
- Alignment: Text to be justified.
- Page numbers: Bottom right corner.
- Language: UK English
3. Structure
Each chapter should include the following elements (as applicable):
- Title of the Chapter
- Author Name(s) and Affiliation(s)
- Corresponding Author Email Address
- Abstract
- Introduction
- Main Body (with relevant headings and subheadings)
- Conclusion
- References
Tables, figures, and illustrations should be embedded in the text near their first mention, with clear captions and source acknowledgments if applicable.
4. Citation and Referencing Style
- Use APA 7th edition referencing style or as applicable
- Include DOIs or URLs for online sources where available.
- Ensure all in-text citations appear in the reference list and vice versa.
5. Originality
- Submissions must be original and unpublished work not under consideration elsewhere.
- Authors are responsible for securing permission to reproduce any copyrighted material.
6. Submission
- Email your completed chapter to lcresearchcell@gmail.com (the first Letter is L in Lower Case) with the subject line: Chapter Submission – [Author’s Name]
- Please include a short biographical note (50–70 words) for each author in the same document, after the references.
- Please submit a plagiarism Report (Up to 10% plagiarism will be accepted)
7. Review and Revisions
- Chapters will undergo an internal editorial review process.
- Authors may be asked to revise their chapters before final acceptance.
