This anthology invites writers worldwide to contribute short stories that explore the human experience of climate change. We welcome both fiction and non‑fiction that sensitizes readers to the urgency of our environmental crisis.

 

Storytelling has the power to raise awareness, inspire empathy, and spark action. Through your words, we can illuminate personal, societal, local, and global consequences of climate change, while amplifying marginalized voices.

 

Selected works will be published in an anthology reaching scholars, students, policymakers, and the wider public, becoming part of the global conversation on sustainability and cultural value

Submission Guidelines:

1. Word count: 1,000-5,000 words (fiction or nonfiction, do mention the type while sending the story; use Times New Roman font, size 12).

2. Genre: Climate fiction (cli-fi), which includes but is not limited to science fiction, literary fiction, magical realism, and speculative fiction.

3. Themes: Stories should explore the human experience of climate change, including (but not limited to):

    - Environmental degradation and its consequences

    - Human migration and displacement

    - Social and economic disruption

    - Personal and emotional impact

    - Resilience, adaptation, and hope

    - More than human voices

4. Original work: Submissions must be original, unpublished works.

5. Language: English.

6. Format: Microsoft Word (.docx).

 

Submission Process:

2. Include a brief cover letter with your name, contact information, affiliations, if any, and a short bio (100 words max).

3. Attach your submission as a separate document, with a suitable title  the story.

 

Deadline: June’ 15, 2026

 

Publication: Climate Change, Disasters, and Global Narratives: Collection of Short Stories will be published in hardbound, paperback and soft form from a reputed publisher with ISBN. Contributors will receive a copy of the anthology.
