Modern Masculinity: A Narrative of Heroism and Failure
Papers are invited for a special panel at ‘Return to Gender’, the forthcoming graduate conference at the University of Glasgow on 25th November, 2006. Is the often discussed crisis in masculinity empowering or emasculating? Possible topics include:
* Crisis in masculinity
* Men and violence
* ‘Boys will be boys’
* National/cultural models of masculinity
* Myths of masculinity
* Masculine bodies
* Feminine/female masculinity
