CFP: Gender: Power and Authority (2/28/07; journal issue)full name / name of organization: Johanna Maria Eleanor Green contact email: j.green.1@research.gla.ac.uk CALL FOR PAPERS - GENDER: POWER AND AUTHORITY eSharp is an award-winning online journal for postgraduates in the fields of arts, humanities, social sciences and education. It is peer-reviewed, based at the University of Glasgow and aims to provide a critical but supportive entry into the world of academic publishing. The theme of the ninth edition is 'Gender: Power and Authority'. This issue will look at ways in which gender has been marginalised/reversed/empowered in past, present and even future society. Have gender distinctions become obsolete in modern society? How does one gender gain power over another? Is there such a thing as a dominant gender? Topics may include but are not limited to: · Masculinity and Femininity Articles of a maximum of 4,500-5,000 words must be submitted by 28 February 2007. Please ensure that you accompany your submission with an abstract of 200-250 words and a list of 3-5 keywords for meta tagging.
