Queering the Fantastic

Proposals are sought for an interdisciplinary and international anthology
focusing on queer/gender theories and the fantastic. Queer readings on any
genre of the fantastic (historic or contemporary) in any media (print,
visual, graphic, electronic, or performative) are welcome.

Deadline: October 1, 2007

I am interested in scholarship that crosses or questions boundaries
(theoretical, disciplinary, cultural). I plan to include scholarship on
original *and* fan productions in a range of genres/media, including but not
limited to, print, film, television, games, comics/graphic novels, and
manga/anime. I will submit a project proposal with accepted abstracts to
publishers during November 2007. The final deadline will be determined with
the interested publisher.
