CFP: Women in Power (5/30/07; online journal issue)
For the completion of a special issue on "Women in Power," the
multidisciplinary online journal "gender forum"
(http://www.genderforum.uni-koeln.de) seeks articles discussing the
election campaigns and/or the upcoming presidential elections in the
U.S. and/or France from a gender perspective. In addition, reviews of
the following titles as well as of other related publications are sought:
- Albright, Madeleine. The Mighty and the Almighty. Reflections on
America, God, and World Affairs. New York: HarperCollins, 2006.
- Clinton, Hilary. Living History. New York: Simon & Schuster, 2003.
- Estrich, Susan. The Case for Hillary Clinton. New York: Regan Books, 2005.
- Morris, Dick and Eileen McGann. Condi vs. Hillary. The Next Great
Presidential Race. New York: Regan Books, 2005.
Abstracts or completed manuscripts should be submitted via email to
gender-forum_at_uni-koeln.de by May 30th, 2007. Articles and reviews
should conform to the "gender forum" style sheet (available for download
at http://www.genderforum.uni-koeln.de/stylesheet.pdf). Articles should
not exceed 8,000 words in length; reviews should be limited to
approximately 1,500 words. Please include a bio-blurb of 5 to 10 lines
and an abstract of 10 to 15 lines. Use endnotes and fully documented
references at the end of the article. For further information on the
