We are reissuing the call for proposals for the Middle Tennessee State
University Women’s Studies Interdisciplinary Conference on Sexuality,
March 26 – Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Middle Tennessee State
University. The new proposal deadline is October 15, 2008.

Details about the conference are available on the conference website link
at http://mtsu32.mtsu.edu:11472/WMST_conf_homepage_2009.htm

The keynote speakers will be Jennifer Baumgartner and Amy Richard. The
call for proposals suggests topics such as biology, culture, and
sexuality; gender construction and sexuality; class and sexuality;
sexualizing childhood; sex trafficking; feminism and sexuality; and the
construction of perversity, and many more. However, we invite other
topics related to this broadly defined field.

In keeping with the new format for our 2009 conference, single panels are
scheduled during the day, each consisting of three presenters, so that
all participants can attend each panel session. We hope that this format
will promote engagement among participants and presenters.

Presentations are limited to 20 minutes, to be followed by questions and
discussion.

Only proposals that meet the following criteria will be reviewed: 250-500
words, accompanied by a working bibliography, and accompanied by a vita.
