Call for Workshops, Papers, and Panels

Girls and Visual Culture

Sponsored by the Girls and Their Allies Caucus

29th Annual Conference
June 19 – 22, 2008
Cincinnati, Ohio

Submissions are invited for workshops, papers, and panels on current practices and
proliferations of girls in visual culture. Presentations could provide an overview of contemporary
trends, or focus on one in particular.

Submissions should include a 50-word abstract, a 250-300 word description, and a CV or brief
bio. Completed papers should be approximately eight pages, for a reading time of 15 minutes.
Workshops may be either 20 minutes long or a full hour. Panels are best configured at three or
four participants. Abstracts of accepted papers, panels and workshops will appear in the NWSA
program guide.

The deadline for submissions to the Girls and Their Allies Caucus is
October 29, 2007.

Applicants will be notified of the committee's decision by November 1, 2007. For more
information on submission guidelines for the general conference, please see the NWSA website.
