Rebecca Harding Davis Society/ Call for Papers
Fourth Conference of Society for the Study of American Women Writers

The Rebecca Harding Davis Society will host one panel at the Fourth
Conference of the Society for the Study of American Women Writers. The
conference will be held October 21-24, 2009, at the Sheraton Society Hill
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Rebecca Harding Davis Society invites proposals that consider women’s
issues and themes in Davis’s work. We are particularly interested in
proposals that focus on lesser-known Davis texts rather than on “Life in
the Iron Mills.” Presentations will be limited to 20 minutes.

Deadline: December 1, 2008

Please send a one-page abstract and a brief C.V. to Mischa Renfroe.
