Call for Papers
SPSE at APA

The Society for the Philosophical Study of Education (SPSE) is hosting two
sessions at the Spring 2009 Central Division Meeting of the American
Philosophical Association (APA), February 18-21, 2009, Palmer House Hilton
Hotel, Chicago, Illinois. We are seeking presenters for the following
sessions:

Session 1: Paternalism and Teachers’ Authority (Thursday, February 19,
9:00 am – Noon)

Session 2: Critical Thinking and Curriculum (Friday, February 20, 7:30 –
10:30 pm)

SPSE will also hold a business meeting at APA.

Please send proposals of 250 words to Allan Johnston, President, Society
for the Philosophical Study of Education, ajohnst2_at_depaul.edu or
ajohnston_at_colum.edu. Put “APA proposal” and session number in subject
line. Also, please indicate if you are interested in chairing a session.

Final presentations should be no more than 30 minutes long. Accepted
papers will be considered for publication in the SPSE Roundtable.

Deadline: December 10.
