The New Scene Quarterly is now accepting submissions for 2009.
DEADLINE for the January 2009 is midnight on Dec. 25th 2008, check the
website for future dates: www.newscenequarterly.com

• NONFICTION:
We are actively looking for non-fiction that revolves around the art and
craft of writing; profiles on interesting writers; and memoirs that capture
the American experience. Submissions should be between 1000 and 3500 words.

• POETRY:
The best way to classify what we are looking for would be to call it 21st
Century Americana; that is, poetry that best represents the state of
America in the 21st Century. Please limit submissions to between 3 to 6
poems per entry.

• FICTION:
We do have a bit of a sense of humor. The fiction we hope to attract fits
the same genre as our poetry, true 21st Century Americana. If you're unsure
what we mean, then you're probably picking up on the idea that neither do
we. Use your imagination, knock us off our feet! Submissions should be
between 1500 and 4500 words.

• BOOK-REVIEW:
We are accepting reviews of small press editions. Please include the
address and website for publisher with each review. Submissions should be
between 500 and 1500 words. Please let us know if you have a cover shot.

All submissions are accepted electronically at TheNewScene_at_mightyrogue.com.
