Proposals for 20-minute conference presentations are invited for the South
Central College English Associationâ€™s session â€œWorks We Love to Teachâ€ at
the SCMLA 2009 Convention, October 29-31, in Baton Rouge, LA. What are
the literary works we most enjoy teaching, and how do we pass on our
passion for these works to our students? Which texts pose unique
obstacles or offer exceptional rewards for instructors and students in the
classroom? Papers discussing pedagogical methods as well as specific
challenges and successes in teaching selected works are encouraged.
Please submit a 250-500 word abstract, a brief C.V., and A/V requirements
to Shari Hodges Holt at shodges_at_olemiss.edu by Friday, March 13, 2009.
Selected panelists will be announced in April 2009.
