Thinking Acts: The Undergraduate Journal of Social and Political Thought
(York University, Cananda)

Thinking Acts is an interdisciplinary, electronic undergraduate journal
focusing on a wide range of topics at the intersection of philosophy,
politics, cultural studies and literary theory. Thinking Acts provides
undergraduate students with a forum for the discussion of the theoretical
legacy of classical thinkers today (from Plato to the twenty-first century)
as well as for theoretical analysis of contemporary world events. The aim of
the journal is to expand the space for interdisciplinary dialogue, critique,
and innovation.

Call for papers:

Thinking Acts is pleased to announce its call for papers for the inaugural
volume. We especially welcome article submissions that re-conceptualize the
relation between thought and action, theory and praxis, knowledge-production
and the techno-political apparatus. The deadline for submissions is February
1st, 2007, but feel free to submit papers any time between now and then. We
plan on publishing the first volume in June 2007.

All submissions must be formatted for blind review. Please include the
author's name, email address, mailing address, university affiliation, and
paper title on a separate cover sheet. Only the paper title should appear in
the body of the paper.

Papers written for classes or for senior theses are also accepted, though
theses will likely need to be shortened or condensed. We accept papers
ranging from 10 - 20 pages in length, though the lower and upper size limits
are flexible. Please enclose an abstract for your paper. All papers should
follow standard MLA formatting.
Please send submissions to thinkingacts_at_gmail.com
