/Eighteenth-Century Fiction/ is an international quarterly published in French
and English devoted to the critical and historical investigation of imaginative
prose of the period 1660-1832.

ANNOUNCEMENT to graduate students
Eighteenth-Century Fiction Essay Prize 2007

The editors of Eighteenth-Century Fiction are pleased to offer, for the third
year, a prize for the best essay submitted to the journal by a graduate student.
The competition is open to anyone studying for a graduate degree at the time of
submission (1 September 2006 – 31 August 2007). The winning author will receive
a prize of US$100 and publication in Eighteenth-Century Fiction. Essays, written
  in English or French, may deal with any aspect of eighteenth-century
international fiction (5,000–8,000 words in length).
Please remember to prepare the essay for a blind reading. Further details about
submitting articles can be found at
www.humanities.mcmaster.ca/~ecf/editorialpolicy.html. Mail four copies of the
essay (double-spaced) before the end of August 2007, together with confirmation
of the author's graduate status, to Eighteenth-Century Fiction, CNH-421,

Le Prix Eighteenth-Century Fiction 2007

La revue Eighteenth-Century Fiction se propose d'attribuer un prix annuel au
meilleur mémoire soumis à la revue par un étudiant de troisième cycle. Le
concours est ouvert à tout étudiant en cours de thèse au moment de soumettre son
mémoire. L'auteur gagnant recevra un prix de 100 $US, et verra son mémoire
publié dans Eighteenth-Century Fiction. Les mémoires, en anglais ou en français,
doivent être de 5 000 à 8 000 mots, et peuvent traiter de n'importe quel aspect
des études sur les genres romanesques du XVIIIe siècle. Veuillez respecter
l'engagement de ECF à maintenir le caractère anonyme de l'évaluation des textes
considérés pour la publication. Veuillez faire parvenir cette annonce à toute
