CFP: Teaching London (UK) (10/1/06; 11/3/06-11/4/06)full name / name of organization: Steven Barfield contact email: steven.barfield@btopenworld.com Teaching London Call for Papers The conference will consist of papers, group presentations and panel=20 Museum of London, and another with community issues based around the=20 The aim of this interdisciplinary conference is to explore the ways in=20= which the past, present and future of London is taught or used in=20 hope to have representatives from different types of institutions that=20= have a stake in teaching London (universities, museums and schools), as=20= well as those who feel they teach London in less traditionally-based=20 those of speakers from outside London. Subject-areas might include:=20 studies, economics and business studies, mass media, modern languages=20 Twenty-minute papers/ workshops are welcome on any issue related to=20 London as an interdisciplinary subject; London as a teaching resource;=20= What role does London play in different subject-areas? Teaching London=20= as part of the UK; technology and teaching London; Audiences for=20 London in a globalised/international context; electronic resources and=20= the teaching of London. There will be a drinks reception on the Friday evening at Tate Britain=20= as part of the Late at Tate Event accompanying the publication of Iain=20= Sinclair=92s new book on London.
