DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS MAY 30TH 2007

The International Anthony Burgess Foundation, in conjunction with
Liverpool Hope University, University of Salford and Manchester
Metropolitan University is pleased to announce its Second Symposium on the
work of Anthony Burgess.

The theme this year is "Anthony Burgess: Selves and Others." Papers are
invited on any aspect of Burgess's writing (literary, journalistic,
critical) and/or music. Some possible topics include: Burgess's work in
the UK and abroad; post-Colonial elements in his writings; gender and
difference in Burgess; the English reception of Burgess and his work and
Burgess and psychoanalysis.

Proposals of no more than 250 words to be sent to Nuria Belastegui at
info_at_anthonyburgess.org or director_at_anthonyburgess.org before May 30th
2007.
