The Albertina-Foundation and its partner institutions in Germany, England
and Israel welcome approximately 30 essays of interest to those concerned
with the study of the modes of representation of >>> space, time and
spacetime<<< in literature.
We are looking particularly for contributions on various topics in literary
studies, literary theory, philosophy of literature, anthropology etc.
answering to the publication's subject matter.
We welcome papers examining the issue of >>> space, time and spacetime <<<
from either practical perspectives, or based on foregrounded theoretical
assumptions, as well as papers concerning single authors or comparative views.
Articles of fewer than 10,000 words or more than 30,000 words are not
considered for publication. The word count includes notes but excludes
works-cited lists and translations, which should accompany foreign language
quotations. Submissions are only accepted if the language is English (BE or
Each article submitted is send to two reviewers. Articles recommended by
these readers are then sent to the members of the editorial board, who meet
in late March 2009 to make final decisions. Until a final decision is
reached, the author's name or status is not made known to consultant
readers and the editorial board. Because the submission of an article
simultaneously to more than one refereed project can result in duplication
of the demanding task of reviewing the manuscript, it is our policy not to
review articles that are under consideration elsewhere. We also accept
sections of unpublished dissertations.
The PUBLICATION will appear in one volume; followed by a CONFERENCE in
London, September 2009. As a result of generous financial support given by
institutional and public donators, we are able to cover all expenses
related to traveling to and from London as well as lodging and board. The
authors of accepted contributions will be equipped with flight tickets and
hotel vouchers by June 2009.
