Call for Submissions:
A Quarterly Web Review of Art and Literature
seeks submissions of poetry, short fiction, book reviews, visual arts, and
essays on contemporary culture and politics for its premiere issue, which
will be published on September 15. Subsequent issues will be published on
the 15th of December, March, June, and September of each year. Deadlines
are the 15th of the previous month.
The premiere issue will include fiction and verse by a number of new
writers along with a special section on life and art in Cuba, with
photographs by Martin Mraz, an essay on the lives of artists in Cuba by
Millie Moorehead, a gallery owner who represents many of that country’s
artists in the United States, and a collection of contemporary Cuban art.
E-mail submissions are preferred, as they allow direct conversion to HTML.
If you cannot submit by email, please send one clean, scannable copy along
with return postage to the address below. If your work is accepted, you
will be asked to send a version on diskette. The submission guidelines
for visual arts are much the same; please email jpg or gif files if
possible, and if you cannot, then please send copies of your artwork by
conventional mail along with return postage. In any case, you will
receive a prompt response.
The deadline for the premiere issue is August 15, 1997. For more
