Call for Papers
American Literature Association
21-24 May 2009
Boston, Massachusetts

The Robert Frost Society will sponsor two sessions at the American
Literature Association 20th Annual Conference.

Session 1:

Robert Frost and Willa Cather: Crossroads of Regional Landscapes

In cooperation with the Willa Cather Society, the Robert Frost Society
invites papers that explore the relationship between Robert Frost and
Willa Cather. Near Contemporaries who genuinely admired each other’s
art, Frost and Cather display important thematic, stylistic, and
philosophical affinities that have largely gone unexamined. All topics
will be considered. Biographical, thematic, theoretical, eco-critical,
and linguistic analyses particularly welcome.

Session 2:

Papers on all aspects of Robert Frost’s writing and related topics are
welcomed

Please submit proposals or papers via e-mail before 10 January 2009, to
