As stated in our initial CFP, we are interested in abstracts on how the Middle Ages has been and is presented to young people. This focus includes not only literature written specifically for older children and adolescents but also historical fiction, textbooks, and other texts that address the Middle Ages or use medieval motifs. We have many fine abstracts but have noticed specific gaps that need filling.

1.Representations of medieval Africa, Asia, and the Middle East
2.Represeantations of girls and women, particularlyy those that deal with female empowerment/proto-feminism
3.Representations of the Jewis disapora and the Islamic world
   4.Representations of the Other

We would also be interested in abstracts on the following authors: Marguerite deAngeli, Brian Jacques, Lensey Namioka, Rosemary Sutcliffe, and Charlotte Yonge.

Abstracts should be no more than 500 words

Deadline: February 15
